Congratulations. Your girl surely know how to move the ball around. Love her split steps. You must be proud.

You daughter has another fan. She moves her feet, she is all business. Loved how she even changed the scorecard back at the end. Like.. another day in the office. She keeps moving her feet.. I can go on and on. She keeps it up.. we have a future pro champion. P.S. In that first video. The side court shot where the boy runs into the curtain. I almost lost it laughing. Just didnt expect it. Congratulations. Remember Nike is better than Adidas. |

She originally use 2h backhand, then switched to 1h, but she sometimes still use 2h to deal high ball or fast ball.

That's something I can do to this day, hit with a 2 handed backhand, but I haven't used a 2 hander in over 3 years exept while horsing around. When I play lefty, I use the 2 handed backhand because it feels very much like a righty forehand. Your little girl has a good strategy, but she needs to eventually wean off the 2 hander altogether.

Very impressive! My jaw dropped at the first one-hand backhand she hit. Such a young girl with a nice one-hander has to be very, very rare. Keep up the good work!
I also liked the curtain shot very much; that kid was flying. |

I still can't get over how she is using a Pure Drive Roddick. That is heavier than my racquet. I feel so weak!

I'm going to laugh at you if she burns out. I never understood what drives parents to make children this young compete. Oh well...

I am not sure what the problem here as long as they don't over do it or put undue pressure on her. I know tons of kids that were in competitive soccer (AYSO), little league, pee wee football at that age and most of them turned out fine |

I just don't like parents who pressure their children. From previous posts and this, I assumed this was the case. Obviously assumptions are bad, and I may have made a faulty one here

at very begining, I brought her to tennis. she liked it and had fun. so I asked her if she want to play, and explained to her that she need to be persistant whatever she wanted to learn. so we started training since then, half to one hour a day for both kids. for a period of time, they feel frustrated and bored by those training, then feel very proud when people started watching them practice. Now Nina want to practice every day after she taste the victory. but I felt she got a bit cocky.

8 years old, and she's already got a killer forehand. Amazing! Congratulations on your little champ.

Her parents mentioned it in another thread. A lot of forum members were very negative on it. So unless she switched to a different PD I assume she is still using it.
