Question Mamba Tennis

Stumbled across their website, and was wondering if anyone has any information about their Black Mamba string, or any of their strings. Comparisons appreciated. Thanx.

There's only one Black Mamba... and that's Kobe Bryant As for the strings go, i don't think anyone tried them (if BigT can't help you, probably no one can).

I believe the strings offered on their site are made by Discho. Which from my understanding is the same Pro's Pro? They seem to get pretty decent ratings on stringforum. They were offering free samples for awhile but unfortunately I missed out.

i doubt discho is the same as pro's pro. some of the strings surely come from the same factory, but pro's pro is located in austria and discho is located in germany.

They are not the same as Pro's Pro. I have heard of them recently, haven't tried them, but if they want to send me samples they know where to find me.

I saw this Black Mamba string on a German website a week or so ago. From the pictures it looks very similar to RPM, would be interested to see what the results are on court.

I have a few sets on the way to try out. I am an RPM user so I am curious how these play. I'll update when I get them later this week and give them a shot.

Just saw these as well. I'd be willing to try a reel, not sure which to get, unless all the poly strings are the same construction with different textures

Price is pretty awesome too

I have sets up Black Mamba, Black Mamba Gear and Black spin coming so I'll be able to see if the overall construction is the same or what differences there are and compare them to my normal RPM as well as others that I have tried out such as Black Code, Mesquito Bite, etc.

I have samples and simply am waiting to heal up my wrist before I try them out. Definitely interested in a cheaper version of b5e or even Black Magic.

Tell me how they play. They're sending me out a few as well. I'm really interested in their natty as well.

Did anyone try there sets of strings yet? I received my reel of black spin. I strung it at the same tension as my usual setup and it worked great, but I could tell I needed to lower it to gain some power back for serves, going down 4lbs should do the trick!

Once I dial the tension in, I don't see why I wouldn't use this as my main string, you can't beat the price for a textured string from germany. I also want to compare this to pro's pro black spin. I have a set and they look pretty similar

I restrung it 4lbs lower and it felt a lot better in terms of power and spin, but I might have to go up a pound or 2 to keep some control with new balls. Hit with it for around 2 hours

I just need one more tension adjustment and I think i'll find my desired tension!

Hescobal: Is it too soon to know the durability & tension maintenance? Thanks.

For anyone who cares, Big Blue is the same string as Black Mamba, Green Mamba and O-Power, just different colors.

played yesterday with the black spin setup I had earlier this week. I didn't increase the tension, but it still felt good. I didn't notice any noticeable tension drop like my other poly string setup and no problems with string movement.

I will restring it tonight and will see how it plays in the morning at mixed doubles practice
