So I was looking at the draw for the upcoming tournament in Sydney when I saw Alex listed as a Russian. Did he switch his nationality? I know he was born in Moscow, but hasn't he been living in the states since he was a teenager?

Yes, he's started representing Russia because he wants to play for Russia's Davis Cup team.

He switched his nationality late last season.
