I am very dissapointed with the Pepperdine match scores yesterday. I did not see the match but the scores were very shocking to me. I have seen a couple of home matches this year with the loss to Fresno being the last. I don't want to over react but it seems like the coaches are not pushing the right buttons to motivate this group. I know that the Stanford standard has dropped a little on the men's side but the lopsided scores from yesterday are a little dissapointing. I am not saying that the coaches should be let go but it seems something or someone needs to revitalize the program. Hopefully we can get our groove back soon.

People have an overexaggerated view of Stanford. This loss is not uncommon for Stanford. Losing to Pepperdine may be uncommon but losing to a top ten team for them is not. In recent NCAA tournament history, Stanford has only placed between Rd of 32 and Quarterfinals. Placing third or fourth in the Pac-12 this year would be considered perfectly normal for this team. Something to think about.

If you think the standard has dropped for Stanford, just wait till next year! Because Klahn and Thacher will be gone. Some good freshmen coming in, but that will be a young team with no elite-level guys available for #1 doubles and top two singles.

Time to start recruiting better talent, without regard to nationality.

I think they are going to get pumped now that their men's basketball team won the NIT. That may have been weighing on them.

The Card go down to So Cal and get demolished in 2 straight matches. Come out of the weekend losing all but 1 match and a lot of scores very lopsided. It is starting to get ugly in Palo Alto and this is not fun.

They will beat UOP this week, then it could be a tight match with Cal.

One of my buds knows the assistant there and that's what he was told...by the assistant. Maybe it fell through. Glad I got the record straight, was almost a part of a life-changing situation there. Precious forum credibility in question
