Default Nadal to prove himself this year

Nadal has learned from his mistakes in losing to Djokovic. If Djokovic should make it to the final, which is unlikely, nadal will crush Djokovic. Clay is Nadal's territory, and he is mad. He will then win the French, and with this confidence, Wimbledon and then the US Open.

Expect nadal to surge back up to number 1.

If by prove himself you mean being proven to be Cvac's b*tch then you're right. Otherwise,he is not getting back to #1,beating Djesus,or winning any slams this year.

"This year"? So he has a chance to win slams in the future? How uncharacteristically optimistic of you.

You're slipping up Clarky.

Nah,I still think he won't win anymore slams for the rest of his career. I should have clarified that in my post, though.

Don't you think it's a bit harsh? Besides Djoker, no one else is challenging Nadal. He may be get beaten in an MS1000 or a 500 event, but at the slams, he's unbeatable if your name isn't Djokovic.

If any of the following events were to happen:

a) Nadal raises his game
b) Djoker's level falls
c) someone causes an upset and beats Djoker

Then Nadal could easily be looking at slam #11.

Nope.

Murray,Delpo,Federer and several others can challenge Nadal, and I think he will lose to Murray this year at one or more of the slams. I also think he could lose to Fed at one of the remaining slams as well. Shoot, with the way he's playing he's vulnerable to a lot of different players. Nadal has come to the end of his winning days, and won't win anymore big titles for the rest of his career, imo. You can't win playing 99% defensive tennis, and that's all Nadal does these days. Not to mention the horrible pushing and moonballing. It's hilarious to watch him moonball his backhand because he can't hit through it anymore.

Nadal is not the same player he used to be. It will take a miracle for him to even make the final of anymore slams this year. He's through.

A rare slip up though.

It wasn't a slip up considering I have said on here multiple times that Nadal won't win anymore slams. I will repeat it just in case you missied it: Nadal will not win anymore slams for the rest of his career. He will finish with the 10 he has and that is it. Is that clear enough for you, dude?

Very clear. Nadal is done. Finished. Yesterdays news. He no longer has the speed and fitness advantage. Djesus's turn.

Your frenetic demonstration of reverse psychology is really tedious, how about giving it a rest?

I'd be surprised if he managed to win 2 matches in a row.

i don't know how Nadal could crush Djokovic: his serve isn't that big, and his ground strokes aren't as big as Djokovic. Furthermore he is worrying about his knees which means that he's not going to be moving as well as Djokovic. I could see Nadal winning a tough match here and there but not crushing Djokovic.

Amazing how at one point the backhand was an important part of his repertoire and now it's a vulnerability. Nadal is very vulnerable on any surface that is off clay. I honestly don't see him hurting Djokovic off Clay, maybe even grass. Right now, out of Top 4, he's at the bottom when it comes to hardcourts.

He can't hurt Djesus anywhere on any surface. He has no weapons at all,and Djesus beats him senseless. Nadal has become forehand man,and even that shot isn't that good anymore. Djesus eats it alive, and isn't even remotely afraid of anything Nadal can throw at him. If it weren't so pathetic it would be funny to see how far Nadal has declined in such a short amount of time.

the same thing happened to federer, he didn't have any weakness till nadal came to bash Federer backhand, now djokovic comes with more adapted to nadal style of play, and the cycle will continue

Nadal had chances to prove himself at Wimbledon, the US Open, and then at the Australian Open, and always failed. Djokovic still knows how to beat Nadal, and he will not be crushed. I would expect a close final if they meet, with sets lasting around an hour each.

Well, these next few months are Rafa's last stand. I reserve judgement until after the FO. If Novak wins these clay masters and the FO, Nadal is 100% done.
