Default Will Djokovic now revert to being owned by Nadal?

I always felt like Djokovic's recent H2H lead over Nadal was brittle.

Once the Spaniard forced a win over him, it would domino out of control for Djokovic, and he would once again start to be owned by Rafa.

Now the first win has happened, what do you guys reckon will happen with respect to the H2H?

I personally think Nadal will still have the edge on clay, with Djokovic having the edge on hard courts.

On grass it's a toss up at this point, until they play each other more on that surface.

I could be wrong, but this seems to be the most likely scenario.

I pretty much agree with this, as long as Nadal doesn't revert to his 2011 clay form, he has the edge on clay, Novak has the edge on HC and we will see about grass if they meet at Wimbledon. Slight edge to Rafa if he beats Novak a couple more times before then.

we'll see about that edge on clay in Madrid and Rome... not so sure about it. Djokovic beat him pretty comfortably last year at Wimbledon.

Yes, let's go by the result of the last match.

Noel will shake this off in a week and be back to normal, although he's not been at 2011 level this year, so the matches with Ralph will be closer with R taking some.

I picked the middle option but it really has nothing to do with the Monte Carlo final. I always figured it would be the middle option. People on planet TW are clueless bandwagon jumpers amongst many other things.

So you admit that if the H2H is not even from now on, you are the one that is clueless?

Exactly!

And notice how these clueless ones are readily stating that Nole is not at his 2011 level but found it impossible to admit that in 2011 Nadal was not at his 2010 level: hypocrisy much!

Very true. It is a pretty simple concept, no player plays their best for their whole career, even their very best. People seem to understand this easy reality when it comes to Federer or Djokovic, and to an even greater extreme certain "special" players like Nalbandian and Safin who seemingly are allowed to play their best only 2% of the time but retain some sort of unofficial uncrowned GOAT status, but not for Nadal.

Djokovic is simply a better player than Nadal. MC win by Rafa means nothing. Novak had to deal with too much sh!t. watch Novak spank Rafa next 7 times ... Nadal is an one dimensional player, not even close to Djokovic and Federer ...

We'lll talk after their next match. I got a feeling that Djokovic won't have the pressure of kicking Nadal's a** each time they play from now on, though. Nadal on the other hand won't be super determined as in the previous 7 meetings to finally beat Novak as he's already got a win.

It's not like Nadal has suddenly found a solution, people. If Djokovic plays anything closeo to his best there is nothing Nadal can do to beat him, period.

Djokovic only wins as much as Nadal allows him to win. When Nadal is playing his best, Nadal wins the US Open no matter what anyone does. Nadal plays bad, he loses to Del Potro in straight sets at the US Open or Djokovic in 4 sets at the US Open. Nadal plays his best and he only gets broken 5 times in the entire US Open. And I haven't even mentioned Wimbledon, where even playing a very nervous match Nadal was able to breadstick Djokovic last year and also break Djokovic's serve in the 4th set. Now with his confidence back, Nadal will take back his titles and move within a couple of Federer's 16 slams and then finish off that record in 2013-14.

lol, the biggest BS ever. Djokovic owns Nadal, like it or not. Novak is 4000 points ahead of Nadal and you are just are just a Rafatratd (you must be from India, not sure why Indians love Rafa so much), I can't even believe you can post something stupid like this, lol ... Djokovic is clearly #1 ... Nadal winning MC means nothing ... hahah, regarding W, oh boy, go watch that match again... you know sh!t, but suit you self you poor blind boy ...

Gee, can you be more stupid than this ... "Djokovic only wins as much as Nadal allows him to win", hahahha... this is too good.... man, ask for a brain transplant ... what an idiot ... can you be more stupid than this, I guess not ...

I am from India and I am a Roger Federer fan. abmk, monfed all are from India. It's not that there are many Rafa fans in India. I think the number of Roger fans in India is a lot more than the Rafa fans.

cool man. I guess it's just my impression. I post on the other tennis boards too and it just seems to me that people in India adore Rafa. I know he does some charity work there. It's all good. I don't mind any fans it just that this "Nadal ****", and you know who I'm talking about is so annoying ...
