Our first ever string review is here!
Check out what our team had to say about the Kirschbaum Pro Line X string. The in depth review also includes data from our TW University. http://bit.ly/MbdOA2

I think to TW buyers, the string is just as important of equipement as the rackets themselves. and actually end up spending more money on strings. so it would be very helpful to have comprehensive review like this one for more strings. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback!
We are currently playtesting more strings. The Solinco Tour Bite 16L review is nearly complete, and we're also testing Volkl Cyclone right now. Tiffani, TW

Wow those are strings I am considering(though in 18 gauge). How do you pick which strings you will playtest?

I'd like to see tour bite 18g mains/cyclone 18 crosses reviewed. It's time. When the main is more powerful than you'd like, as in tb 18g, hybriding it with a low powered cross tames it and vice versa. Powerful mains (vs team) need lower powered crosses (alu power), and vice versa, so why only review a full bed? In my h22 that hybrid blazes. Nothing is going to give you everything, until they make a textured/spiky gut.

Some non-poly string reviews would be great too

Did anyone compare this string to Pro Line II?

I'd like to see a review of tourna big hitter black 7. Ideally, you review a string from each manufacturer you carry here.

I think it would be helpful if the playtesters' testing racquet/tension is stated in the written review. Cheers.

I have been using Proline X 17 with PPA/microfibre cross for the last few weeks. Given its playablility (good power, good spin and nice feel), tension maintenance (pretty decent for a poly) and price ($5 plus if you buy 3 or more) , I wonder why it has not been getting more attention here.

Would you recommend going full bed with the Pro Line X 17? or use it in the main and something like the N.Vy in the crosses? Thanks!

not sure why there isn't much feedback on this string - is it not popular?
I tried it out based on the TW review & feedback. it seems like a pretty decent string for it's price. It had good control but I was expecting a little more bite on the ball. It's a bit underpowered In this price range, I liked cyclone 17 better for the control & bite on the ball - the power level seems similar to cyclone though so you're going to have to string lower to if you want some extra pop on the ball. This string is easier to string though as the edges of the cyclone can cut skin if you're not careful

I would LOVE to see a review on the Yonex Poly Tour Pro 125.
Seriously.

I liked these strings a lot. Very comparable to Pro Line II (I've only used the 18 gauge of PL2). Maybe not as much pop as PL2 but definitely as much spin and control. I actually preferred PL2 a little more since it has more pop and power for me. But it is still a great string! Very worth the money.
