Default Tierone Sports string?

Have you guys/gals heard of this brand? Tier One Sports? I'm currently testing their Tour Status in 17 and so far I like em. They're semi soft, good spin, and after about 4 hours they seem to be holding tension pretty decently. Best part is that they're affordable ($.

Check em out.

Looks interesting. Keep us posted on how it preforms over the life of the string.

Just checked out the website. There is a way to try out the string for free!!All items are free shipping to con us.

They say that when you buy a reel or a pack of 30overgrip, it came with one free extra set that is seperated from the reel, so you can try out the set first.

If you dont like the set, you can return the reel with full refund. This is the same with the overgrip.

Ok, so you have to try the string. It feels really nice and I feel that it's comparable to black widow (though a little softer). I got a good 7 hours before they snapped, though the tension remained playable for the remaining few hours left.
Spin production, not too shabby, I had to muscle it a little bit to get the extra "umph" but it was nice and heavy.
I was pretty impressed, I'm not going to switch over exclusively, though it is a very nice alternative to BW and RPM.

Softer than Black Widow?! That has to be pretty soft for a poly...

Their polys sound interesting, I just don't know if I want to start the cycle of string testing again...

Thanks, but I'll pass. I'm still getting used to a new racket and I really want to work o my game right now rather than worry about strings. Thanks for the offer, though.

As you can see by our forum name we are the official representatives for Tier One Sports . We just found this post and thought since it is dedicated to our brand we stay ready to answer anybody's questions about our tennis strings. Due to tennis warehouse's forum policies we have to be very careful NOT to market our products with any of our posts. Thus we will try to keep all our responses very basic in this forum. For more detailed responses/inquiries we suggestion to communicate with us through email or facebook.

Do you have one that plays like X1 Biphase or Xcel Power? I prefer a crisp multi that offers some power when I am not using VS Team mains and testing some new poly cross .

Sorry that I can not give you a straight answer. When we tested the Triumph string we gave it to people who usually play NXT Tour and they were very satisfied with Triumph. To be honest, we never tested it with people who usually play Biphase or Xcel Power. But talking strings with people over the past 2 years many consider Biphase the gold standard of multifilament strings - but then again strings can very much be a personal, subjective experience.

The only thing I can suggest is to give Triumph a try

No need to post the link, it was listed earlier in the thread. I'm also fairly handy at this thing called Google.

Biphase is the gold standard during Phase 1 which only lasts a few hours. When Phase 2 kicks in, it is an uncontrollable mess.

Too bad Laserfibre SNPS is not available, otherwise that would be the gold standard. NXT Tour isn't a bad string but not in my top 3.

A quick reference point with regards to the Tour Status string softness/stiffness: Players usually provided us with the feedback that the string is a bit stiffer than Tecnifibre Black Code but a bit softer the the Solinco Tour Bite.

For quality control we let players who usually play NXT Tour test this string. Due to their favorable response we decided to add the Triumph string to our string series.
