How good would the top players be if they took Doubles seriously?
I watch the Mixed today and the Murray/Murray match earlier in the week and I see Andy playing very well. We all know of Federer's gold at Beijing so how well do you reckon the top 10 would be in doubles? Top 10? 20? or suck?

Top 10, easily. Notice how when the top guys enter in doubles events like Olympics or Indian wells, they often win.

Depends on the players. Hewitt actually outplayed Murray in the doubles. It was Stosur choking and being a bigger liability than Robson that cost them. A guy like Murray would be top 10. Djokovic is not first choice for Serbia, Tsonga not necessarily first choice for France.

But seriously, Tsonga and Llodra making such a close match against a seasoned, record breaking doubles team shows that the top players could be legitimate contenders for the doubles majors.
