Default Cheap Hotel Recommendation for US Open

Does anyone have any recommendations of some cheap hotels they've stayed at during the open? Price and location are the only criteria I care about really.

Well cheap hotels and New York are not synonymous. What do you consider "cheap"????? The closest hotels are near LaGaurdia or JFK and for me cheap when I'm in NYC is $175 - $200 night. Your best bet is check the hotels.com, kayak or other such sites......

American Youth Hostel. They have Private, Semi Private and Dorms. Stayed there 20 years ago. Good place to meet fellow travelers. Subway only a block away. Safe neighborhood.
