Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 vs Biomimetic 300

Hey, I was hoping to get some feedback on how these two racquets compare. I'm looking to start playing some Open tournaments, but am in need of some new racquets. My Aero Storms have been great, but I've been using them for a year now and they are very beat up. So I tried some racquets last weekend and really liked the Biomimetic 300. I was looking to get a couple, but then I saw the deal TW has on the 4Ds at the moment and I was wondering if there is a big difference in how the two racquets play/feel.

Any help is appreciated

I've never tried the 4d300 and bio300 but I have used the tour versions of both with the 4d300t being my weapon of choice. I didn't like the bio as much as the 4d though. It just felt different in my opinion from the 4d. Bio was stiffer and the SW is off too. Just my opinion though

I have a used 4D300 that I am going to play with for the first time tonight, and I will let you know what I think of it...I have heard great things. Check back for a quick review later.

Top Jimmy: I know it's to bad if the 300 tour or the 200 standard was 16/18 I would get either one of them, but I need an open string pattern so no go on the 300 tour, and the 200 tour is too heavy for my wrist. Which leaves with the 300 standard and the Max 200G. Unfortunately, I haven't had the oportunity to try the 200G so I'll probably just go with the easier to customize racquet, which leaves me with the 300. Now I just have to pick which 300,

I played the 4D 300 for many months and then tried the Biomimetic 300. For me I liked the 4D 300 A LOT better. It doesn't have the maneuverability of the Bio 300, but it has a much more solid feel, and due to the higher swingweight it seems to have more pop...especially on the serve and on my backhand. I feel the touch and control are also a great deal more with the 4D 300. Again, these are just my opinions.

Hey i just got done playing with the Dunlop Aerogel 4d 300 and I really really enjoyed it...I havent played the bio 300 yet so i cant comment on it, but I bought a used Dunlop AG 4d 300 and it played great. it is notorious for being a very customizable racquet, so I think it could do wonders if it was brand new and I had done everything myself, but the strings and grip that came on it were very good, it is a head over grip and a hybrid stringing, thats all i know about the customizations, but I really liked the way this racquet played...I am not too knowledgeable about the technical sides of a tennis racquet, but just froma tennis player standpoint I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this racquet...just let me know if you need more info, thanks!

never played with the bio so I can't comment there, but the 4d300 was one of the best demo's I have had. I didn't buy it but I also didn't need a racquet at the time.

serves were powerful and very accurate. groundstrokes accurate and have good feel. volleys were the worse shot because you could feel the vibration there. ( maybe some at 3@9 weight would help with vibs)

I have only played the Bio so cannot compare. But I think if you prefer a stiffer version, the Bio is the way to go, but if not, that previous model is a bargain on TW.

As far as the overall specs go, its a great allround racket for an all court game and easy to customize. All I have done with mine is add a leather grip to improve feel.

The Max 200G version is very similar in spec, but a bit heavier. If you like the 98 head and 16x19 string pattern, I would recommend the 300 so you can add weight to exactly what you want, just in case want something between the two.

Yeah, it was posted as "60.00" around 5PM on Wed till sometime today.
I'd just ordered a Head racket, and saw the "$60 pricing, immediately searched for reviews of the 300, and relaxed as the MicroGelRadOS is exactly what I was looking for.

Indeed Lee, if you are looking for an OS, easy going racket, the 300 is not that.

Its a nice racket to play with, but has its moments of being a bit demanding, although part of that may just be me. In the right hands the 300 is a great racket.
