Default Will a leather grip increase the grip size of my racquet?

I'm planning to install a leather grip on my racquet. Will my grip size be bigger with a leather grip on?

Depends what grip you have at the moment. Leather grips differ in width, I think the Prince leather is 1.4mm whereas most synth grips are around 1.6 to 1.8mm. I put on a Wilson leather grip that was about 1.8mm, it hasnt increased the grip but has improved feel.

Oh, I see, I'm just using the Volkl default grip on the PB10 Mid. Would you know if Volkl leather would be thicker? I want Volkl leather because I searched around and saw people saying its one of the heaviest.

If anything, it decreases grip size a little in my experience. Probably because it's not as "poofy" (for lack of a better word) as synthetic grips

Volkl leather is on the thicker side, and heavier than most, but only by a few grams.

only tried wilson and head. The wilson is thin, but doesn't come with an adhesive to stick when installing it. However, they're all the same to me.

I didn't notice if your question was addressed in regards to breaking in.

I notice that the leather grip that I've been using feels large to begin with and then it get's smaller as it breaks in and absorbs moisture...then dries.

So far have been happy with the Volkl/BB, Head, and TW.

I liked the TW leather replacement grips, but it was such a PITA replacing them im never going to do that again lol.

They will probably make your grip a little smaller I think. Leather is kinda "think" but it doesnt have any of the cushioning.

I feel like it makes the grip smaller.
