Default Tommy Haas into QF (Shanghai) Prediction

My prediction has 34 year old Haas beating Almagro in three, Robredo in straights, Tipsarevic in straight sets... Eventually falling to a better hard court player (Nole) in the QF.

Anyone want to give me 5/1 w/ Haas getting through to the QF?

Tommy hasn't exactly been active the last 8 weeks. 1st round exit at the US Open and a 1st round exit last week in Beijing. He hasn't won a match since the 1st round of Cincinnati. I wouldn't be surprised to see him slide past Almugro though but a spot in the quarters might be too much.

I'll give you 100/1. Might beat Almagro (although not likely), but not the other two

Looks like you owe the OP a lot of money.

I hope you're going to pay up and not be a welcher.

Haas proves once again the superiority of the one-handed backhand.

Agree, this should be the test. Still:

Monday Update:

Robredo d. Bogomolov Jr. 76(4) 64

T. Haas d. N. Almagro 46 76(4) 62

I'm now accepting offers at 10/1

I had Haas defeating Almagro and Robredo as well in my bracket.

The Haas-Tipsarevic prediction was a tough one (I think Haas won earlier this year) but I went with Tipsy anyway. Hoping for a close, entertaining match.

I picked Haas to reach the quarters as well. Actually, it was going quite well after the 1st day (I think I got 1 pick wrong at the time) but then it screwed up after both Nishikori and Raonic lost their matches (picked them to tough it out in the quarters).

Not to mention Gasquet tricking me once again! And as soon as I don't pick him, he reaches the final in Canada

...and breaks in the second set. 2-0, Haas to serve.
