You would "outside of the top 4" is pretty straightforward.

Recently, Nishikori made a really good passing shot in the Tokyo final against Raonic

Federer pulling a BH passing shot against Nadal in Wimbledon 2008 Final 4th Set TB 7-8. Saving championship point.

These two points happened back-to-back.

People outside the top 4 simply couldn't do that.

Sure Federer had all the pressure on him when he hit that passing shot, but imo Nadal's was just ridiculous.

Hewitt passing shots against Sampras at 2001 US Open Final were just amazing. He made look Sampras like a crappy S&V Player not better than Llodra.
