Has anyone tried Microfiber Reduction?
This clip seems like an ad (check description) for it.. (forgetting the expense) but seems impressive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGQW88zIr3Y |

Baseball pitchers are not impressed: http://www.letstalkpitching.com/phpB...c.php?p=115926 Swimmers are not impressed: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fro...ng/aee0G6gBMxk If you are really interested in this Somax deep tissue massage that involves pressing stricks into the muscle, check out the discussion in this golf forum: http://www.network54.com/Forum/72052...+shoulder+turn. If instead you would like to work on an area with myofascial release, check out the following article by Suzanna McGee who posts here as Sixftlion, and has a great tennis fitness site, "Tennis Fitness Training". PNF (proprioceptive muscular facilitation) is entirely different.
The following site has a good explanation of the principles involved: http://www.thestretchinghandbook.com...stretching.php Please note the warning that injury can be incurred. In fact, exactly what really is happening at the cellular level is open for debate. Since muscle is much easier to tear than "scar tissue", does the increase in range of motion really result from multiple small muscle tears? Another question: How many who try this technique actually experience a hamstring or other muscle tear? But if you are interested here are some other sites with fairly understandable language (many sites are heavy into muscle physiology terminology): Sports Fitness Advisor http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/pnfstretching.html Livestrong http://www.livestrong.com/pnf-stretching/ |
