Default When's the last time Roger served 3 DFs in a game that never went to deuce?

It is rare that he serves three double faults in a single game, losing it before the score has reached deuce.

Don't worry. It will appear increasingly more often from now on.

Well you know a game of tennis can have many, many points right? When it gets to deuce, it can see-saw between game points and break points, during which Federer can double fault 3 times and still win the game.

Game point, *DF*, deuce, *ace*, game point, *DF*, deuce, *error*, BP, *winner*, deuce, *DF*, BP, *ace*, deuce, *ace*, game point, *ace*, game.

If's very rare for ANY top player to serve that many DFs in only a few points.

Right. In my example above, the game went to deuce. When Fed double faulted yesterday, the game didn't go to deuce....which is extremely, extremely rare

Forget once served four in a row in Roland Garros to get broken to love by Emilio Sanchez (who had just served his first three aces of the match--in a row!--to save his service game from breakpoint down in the previous game). That sealed the fourth set--and the match.

So that was three aces by Sanchez, who almost never served any, immediately followed by four double faults by the big server Forget. Pretty funny.

The 3 DFs in a row against Nieminen in Basel, they were at the very start of the game though so it resulted in a 0-40 situation.
