Default Wilson 2012 Pro Tour BLX

not available on tenniswarehouse, but on other big tennis online shop.

The 2012 Wilson Pro Tour BLX is a new cosmetic update to the control-oriented Pro Tour BLX. The 2012 Pro Tour BLX retains a classic 'tweener design, now with a more open 16x20 string pattern, 11.6 oz. strung weight and 24mm wide beam. Added control and feel from the 96 sq. in. headsize and leather-backed Pro Hybrid replacement grip. BLX builds upon the very popular K Factor design, offering a refinement of Wilson frame technology that provides the ultimate in feel and performance.

Headsize: 96 sq. in.
Length: 27.00 in.
Weight (strung): 11.60 oz.
Stiffness (Babolat RDC): 66
Balance: 12.60 in. Head Light
Cross Section: 24/23mm Tapered Beam
Swingweight: 304 kg*sq. cm
String Pattern: 16x20
Grip: Wilson Pro Hybrid

@tw are you going to sell this one as well?

@others, does anyone know if this one is also available in Europe?

thanks.

Wow. Looks like a standard length juice pro with better cosmetic...the previous one with tight pattern was awesome but too tight...this one looks crazy. Crazy price too....

It's not even listed on Wilsons website as one of their rackets. Could it be a fake??

Doubt it would be fake. They won't ruin their reputation like that. Great price. Maybe someone can give it a try.

swingweight is listed very low?

the former one had a SW of 330.

K Pro Tour, 16 x 20, had a very low sw (is that correct?)

Is this the BLX reincarnation of the K Pro Tour?

I like the Pro Open Tour but the only issue I had is that I could get good enough spin out of the extremly tight string bed to keep the ball in court.
I liked the power level and the smaller head.. just could get the needed spin on my shots.
If the 2012 does have a more open string pattern as indicated in the discription... Its a must try.

I hope this is not a misprint because wilsons site only has a 18 x 20.

I played with the K Pro Tour and loved it and was very disappointed when the announced the blx version to have a 18 x 20 pattern.

I just bought 2. <$150 final price including tax & shipping. Also both will be strung with 16g syn gut for free!!

if you got them, would you be so nice to post your experiences with us? Really interested in this one, but already tried to buy, but they were not allowed to sell outside Europe. thanks (arjanveninga@hotmail.com)

Im scouring the internet trying to find information on this and not coming up with anything.

Nothing on Wilson's site (checked US, UK, AU, JP).
Only thing on entire net about this racquet is from the seller I just bought from.

Weird. The seller is reputable and a major store so if they turn out to be 18x20 I will send them back otherwise I will be returning to this thread to post updates on them as soon as they arrive.

UPDATE:
I did find this thread here at TT back from December of 2011: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=406883
Last post mentions Wilsons site having a page for this very racquet but poster never put a link to it.

Would not be surprised if wilson goes to mid west say hey i'll make you this racquet for this much money but you have to buy a 1000. Its a way for wilson to make few bucks and help their bottom line. Head does this all the time with microgel radicals and liquidmetal racquets. Hells to this day you can still buy Ti S2

Look at tenniswarehouse they have the exclusive on prostaffs orig. So its not uncommon for companies make exclusive racquets that are not in their catalogs and sold only by one retailer.

My racquets should arrive Monday so expect to see an update from me probably Tuesday evening.

Still cant find anything official on the updated 2012 16x20 string pattern though.

I got the racquet and all I can say is anyone who is a fan of the K Protour can be relieved and happy. It's is basically the same as the K Protour with it's 16x20 pattern and same specs.

I'll post more when I string it up and play with it.

Can you measure it unstrung?
- static weight
- balance
- tipweight (take a kitchen scale and punt in on a table. put the tip in the middel of the scale and grip on the table. (somewhere between 145 and 155?).

Thanks.
