planning a trip to the sony open next spring. any recs for the most convenient hotels to stay (other than the ritz carlton key biscayne, which is more than i want to spend)? the tournament website lists lots of choices with a shuttle to the tournament site, which i assume is the way to go, but it's hard to tell which ones will have an easier/shorter shuttle ride or which ones will manage the tournament crowds better. any recs based on convenience or any other btdt advice would be appreciated. will be our first time going to this tournament and will be traveling with a child, so a kid-friendly environment would be nice also. tia.

All the hotels that get listed and have shuttle service are fine - any of the ones on Brickell Ave and on Biscayne Bay (Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton.......etc) are excellent.

If you have the cash- ritz carlton. Its where fed stayed last year, and others as well.
I am lucky..had a condo hookup there. I walked everywhere..it was probably a mile from my door to the seo. The main thing is to try and stay on the key if you can afford it. The traffic on the bridge during that time is not fun.
