Yesterday I watched the match against Ferrer and he was really not at his level. His service was shocking especially in the first set and he didn't appear to be too much alive. Actually he seems to be bother by something (what?) http://newyork.tennistonic.com/view_...nals---youtube http://www.tennis.com/news/2012/11/f.../#.UJxlPIekqcs I do not think he has any chances to defeat either Djokovic or Murray (let alone back to back both of them in the semis and final) as they are too solid at the moment. Any opinion? ----------------------------- Of course if Roger wins the WTF (I hope so) this will be the most unpopular (or popular?) thread in here... |

Well, lots of people were saying exactly the same stuff before Wimbledon semis. Calm down.

And they were right to say it, considering how federer played vs that french choker. The only thing that saved federer at Wimbledon was djokovic's poor play, Nadal's injury and Murray's nerves.

Yeah I mean he's not one of the greatest players ever or anything. Nothing is in his hands.

It is up to him. As he often says, winning or losing is in his hands and he singlehandedly decides the outcome.

I watched his match with Ferrer, and all I can say is that Ferrer is a loser. Before the match, he explained why he had never beaten Federer and was all praise for him. In the match, Federer made shocking mistakes, could not prevail in backhand to backhand rallies, shanked balls - and ended up winning.
This is just not going to work against the big 3. |

You are probably right, as Nole and Murray look to be in very good form at the moment. But I urge you not to give up on Roger. He can produce moments of brilliance which, in a 2 out of 3 set match, can just turn suddenly in his favour. He may be saving his best form for later in the tournament. Just continue to support him, win or lose,

What has happened to federer recently!!! He usually wins all the titles thats what made me stop watching tennis recently. He really has to step up his game, once Rafa Nadal gets back its going to be much harder for Feds.

This thing called "aging" happened. If you're lucky, you'll experience it too.

I was at the Murray and Djokovic match, neither played that well I don't think.
I think Federer has a great chance against them both, the court is also pretty quick, which will help him. |

The drama of the match was great, sure, but the quality wasn't that high. |

Hasn't anybody learned never to count out Federer? Especially on an indoor court. Seriously, come on now.

He just played a bad match and still won. He has another match to get a grove before the semi's. He will be fine. It will give him confidence as he knows he played garbage ball and still beat the #5 guy.
