Default NXT vs Silk

I bought 2 Dunlop recently. 400T and 500T Bios. Both came with Silk from Dunlop and its a god awful string. How much of a difference is NXT? I've only played with NXT as demos and they were probably dead strings when I got tried them. Looking for a multi strung mid tension that I can swing and keep the ball in play. The Silk is too tinny and powerful.

Silk is not a great string but I also think NXT is highly overrated.

One of the biggest things NXT has going for it is availability, which is probably why it is a perennial Top5 seller.
Babolat and Gamma have been pushing hard recently, so we may see this changing.

Don't like either Silk or Nxt. NXT Tour on the other hand is a great string. But there are many other multis I like better, like NRG2, X1, Xcel or Prince Premium.
