Hey, I have my own stringer and usually just string tennis racquets. I recently got ask by some friends to string their racquetball racquets. I do my own racquetball racquets, but they are ektelons with the power ring so they arent so difficult to string.
I wanted to know what the correct way to tension the main strings for racquets that have the strings going through the handle since my stringer isnt long enough to pull tension at the handle (i.e. e-force, wilson,..). Do i just tension everything from the head (loop through the handle and pull tension from head). Also, for the head racquets with the internal grommets, my stringer does not have a break (gamma X-6fc), is it okay to loop through the internal grommets of the power channel system and pull tension from the top of the racquet just like the question before? Thank you for reading and i appreciate any response. |

You just pull thru the head. When you get to the throat you can tension from there as well.
The only Head RB Racket I've strung was a Liquidmetal. One of my clients is supposed to drop off some Head Scorpions which have the channels in the handle. I don't think you need a Brake to tension those.

the throat is where im not sure about. If the strings go through the handle, my stringer wont be able to tension at the throat (handle, Bottom). I guess my question is, is it okay to tension two mains through one top grommet?
For example, If i have an untensioned main go down through the handle, loop back up and through the appropriate top hole (thus having two untensioned mains), then tension, is that okay? Will the tension be off? |

With most RB rackets, it's recomended to pre-string the mains before pulling tension. With many shared holes you don't want them to cross, and you want to pattern to be even.

Pull two mains at once at the head, never at the handle. Same with the Head IGS.
The problem there will be with the crosses which need to be pulled and clamped before inserting in the inner grommet. Unlike the O-Port frames, there is no tool to help with this. IDK if 50/50 will work on these. You may just have to use the old 'hip-brake'.

On some of the E-Force rackets, the bottom cross can't be clamped because there is no room for the clamp. E-force recommends weaving, tension, weave again, tension, then clamp.
