McEnroeisanartist, you really are a beacon of knowledge.
With my expert status as a tennis historian, my ability to analyze numbers and your breadth of knowledge, we can safely say that TTW is a better place with both of us here. Keep it up buddy.

Tier 1 events (slams, masters, Olympics) Wins/Finals:
Djokovic: 5/5 Federer: 4/2 That's the biggest difference imo, so the most interesting one to point out and the main reason why Djoko is #1. |

Wow. Djokovic played 34 matches against top 10 opponents? Is it just me or is that insane?

yes, that is a huge amount, when you consider that the most top 10 opponents Federer ever had in one year was 25, which was this year. Previously it was 24 in 2009. Nadal's most was 25 in 2009. I am less than inspired to calculate how this compares to past greats like Sampras, Lendl, Borg, McEnroe. Connors. My guess is they never approached those numbers.

Nole's 34...
What this stat really show us is the "randomness of the draws", power of Nike and ticket sales.
