Default Signum Pro Tornado v. Volkl Cyclone

Can someone compare the tension maintenance, feel/touch, and control?

This is my opinion only, but Cyclone is a better performing string, BUT since it has the tension stability of a Steven Seagal movie, Tornado is a better string overall. Tornado is also a lot more responsive than Cyclone, so if you're looking for a crisp feel, then Tornado's your string.

LOL!

ye, however, I have found Cyclone holds a slightly lower (51-53) tension much better than it holds , say 55-57.

(I have no idea why this is so, but it appears to be)

I believe I strung the cyclone around like 52, I hadn't gotten into the 40s yet. Regardless, it dropped like a brick for me.

Great strings: Cyclone 1,25 - Tornado 1,23

Tension Maintenance: =
Feel/Touch: Tornado
Control: Cyclone
Spin: Cyclone (little)
Power: Tornado

I prefer the Tornado because my racquet is more focused on the control.

Tornado seems superior to me. Cyclone does not hold tension as well and it feels more cheaply made when you string it. Signum Pro Tornado wins hands down and the price drops quite a bit if you go with a reel. I think spin, control and tension maintenance are all better with Tornado too. Cyclone may be a bit softer but Tornado does not cause me arm issues in the 48-52 lb range in a hybrid.

I should note that Tornado is in my top 5 favorite polys (4th) whereas Cyclone likely wouldn't make the top 10.

I tried the Cyclone 1,25 mm today. Strung in 52 lbs in a Babolat Pure Storm Tour GT.

Good control, but really stiff with this tension. I would say 42 instead of 52 lbs would be good.

Tornado is a much softer string.
