Default Racquet Recommendations for 2.5-3.0 player??

Been playing seriously for six months and I've got a bag full of various Head racquets. A pair of Prestige Mids get most of the work, and one Youtek Extreme MP. But I'm wondering if I'd be better off with something more forgiving for a while. My basic strokes are solid and I'm working my a** off at this; playing in a flex league and in January start a team league and do my first tournament.

I'm 6'2, 240 and shrinking, and generate plenty of power. Groundstrokes tend to be long if I'm too hyped up.

Suggestions? I've got a trip to FL over the holidays and want to bring a bag full of demos. Help keep me from making the mistakes that you did.

Thanks,
Steve

Try a Wilson blx pro open. Seems to fit nearly every playing style and does everything well

Default Tweeners in general...

Thanks Mike. Tried the BLX Pro Open for a drill and a set and it was okay. (How's that for an expert review?) Might be a tad on the light side for me though. Really working on slowing things down and not killing everything.

You're just gonna have to learn to control yourself as well. Do you consistently hit the sweet spot? If so, you might be able to use a more controlled stick like a pure storm tour

Since you are a fan of weight. I'd give the exo3 tour 18x20 a go. If you like the prestige give the MP a try. Other good options may be yonex rdis 200 and the pure storm tour. Also the blade team is a great frame that would give you a level of forgiveness.
