Thought I'd share a video that my son's coach prepared for him following a trip to Sanchez Casal in Barcelona. Not to 'big up' my son, but to relate how powerful little things like this can be to a ten year old....he loves it, and it is a fantastic source of motivation...it is also a keepsake for the frazzled parents!

So do you agree that clay court exposure from a young age is helpful?

The challenge is adapting between ball and surface during what is a hot spot time in the GB season. Last year he was out on the clay at Sanchez Casal on yellow ball (the ITF mandate clearly not landing in Spain yet) and flew back to compete in the national winter tour (orange ball indoor). Results were depressingly predictable!
