Solinco Tour bite - Other Similar strings?

One of the my favorite strings is Solinco Tour bite.

I have two questions. In the string world, how does one describe this string compared to other co-polys?

Can anyone suggest a string similar to this, but at a slightly lower cost? Or is the lower cost version of another string?

I usually use MSV Hex, Genesis blk Magic, which I think are a softer poly...at least that is what I think I feel.

Tour Bite is definitely described a a stiffer, spin monster. I would consider ALU Power spin to be close in terms of feel, but that's my opinion.

I can think of similar strings, but not significantly cheaper ones really.

BHSR is a bit softer and loses tension faster in my opinion. Tour Bite is unique in that it's a stiff, powerful, spin monster that holds tension pretty well for a poly.

In the opening post you said you liked Genesis Black Magic. I know of few strings softer than that.

In my experience, Weiscannon Silverstring is very similar to Tour Bite. I think the Silverstring is a bit softer, but not by much. Very similar playing characteristics.

I thought Silverstring played quite a bit softer, with less power and spin (but was still a very good string).

I've been trying to find something better than Tour Bite--or more specifically something that plays like Tour Bite but lasts a bit longer, but I haven't found anything yet.

I was out on the same quest - no success so far. Cyclone is not bad, but I do prefer Tour bite, it plays more solid IMO. Tour bite is probably my favorite co-poly right now, gotta buy another reel soon

Having used Silverstring as a go-to, IMO they are not even remotely similar. Silverstring is about control and feel while Tour Bite is about spin and power.

I second that, Silverstring feels different. Better feel and comfort - you would do better with touch shots and volleys.

Tour bite is a dream for solid, baseline power game, especially if relying heavily on spin.

The closest thing I got to Tour Bite 17 is Dunlop Black Widow 17. A bit less power, but pretty close in terms of spin and general feel.
