Default It's Not the Same Without Rafael!

The power and the passion went missing after Rosol snaked hissing ...

We want our Rafa back again! Always Rafa! Only Rafa!
Tennis just isn't as fun without our bold, flashing, slashing, golden bull!

Watson: At the risk of losing even more friends, we'd have to agree.

Holmes: Watson, we can't lose that which we haven't.

Question

^^^Off topic, Speranza, but have you caught the CBS version of Holmes/Watson in "Elementary"? Lucy Liu is a bold pick for the Watson role but she pulls it off well IMO!

Is this the one with Johnny Lee Miller as Holmes? I've heard good things about it.

Yes...he is a very warped, modern-day Holmes. It is set in NYC and begins at the moment Watson, a therapist, is assigned the duty of a live-in counselor, assisting Holmes through his struggle to overcome substance abuse.

For once, the US is blessed with an original production of a decent crime drama. Last year's "Prime Suspect", a derivitive of Helen Mirren's UK classic, got the ax after less than a dozen episodes. Hopefully, this one sticks around a while.

Holmes: The renditions portrayed today of my past escapades are NEVER off topic stringertom

I haven't caught the show you've mentioned as I don't believe it has been broadcast in the UK. If time permits, I'll hunt it down on this interweb thingy I use to communicate with you all here.

Watson is refusing to watch it as he still keeps asking the question, "A woman as me?". He can't seem to get over it.

I'll let you know my thoughts once I've caught an episode!

well, for sure your newest ava's show has more fans all the time. i heard that cumberbatch plays the redux of a favorite villain in the star trek movie due for release this coming spring ... luv his sherlock ... but could anybody ever replace jeremy brett as the quintessential?

i saw another article somewhere that mentioned the name of the character, but i don't remember it ... say hey, ruerooo!

edit:
K so ... check out the trailer at that link. at the end it states that it's coming may 17, 2013 ... but somewhere toward the beginning it says summer of 2013 .... looks to me like they've gotten positive response interest and may be enlarging the B.C. part ..... regardless, "into darkness" sounds like it could be worth the price of admission ...

As the photo is from a presser at Key Biscayne, he was probably reacting to the following question:

Journo: Why is it so important to start your Euroclay preparation a day earlier by avoiding the Muzzaman of Miami?

It was a stomach virus he acquired a month ago. That virus is still raging.

I think the official line from The Vamos Camp is that he didn't want to return to tennis after 6 months by entering something as intense as a Grand Slam. Which is understandable, if true. Which it isn't.

I have zero inside info, but that sounds more likely (to me) than the virus story ..... when I found out last week that Rafa wasn't in the AO draw, I realized just how much LESS enjoyable this year's AO was gonna be!

Rafa's the spice that makes tennis nice!
