Fed Nadal forehand data thread?

Is it possible that future threads could be closed rather than deleted so people can still link to the discussion that took place before any arguments were started?

We consider closing threads, but if it has become too big of a mess, it will be deleted at the moderator's/admin's discretion. When there is time, a deleted thread can be restored. We don't always have enough time to devote to cleaning up a thread at that moment but can revisit it once we do.
