My current racket is a Wilson Kblade tour 93 at 344 grams strung, and i want to switch to the hyped Wilson Steam 99s at 326 grams strung.
The problem i have is with my 2handed backhand, i cant feel the racket while i swing, its like swinging a toy! All tho i like the racket, its nice coming home after a 2hour session with an arm and body that isn't fatigued(playing with the lighter 99s) Should i add silicone in the handle and leadtape to get the 99s up to 344g or should i learn to play with a backhand with no feel? Bg Rare |

I just didn't like the 99s' feel regardless of the weight. My personal thoughts is this racquet is more of an experiment and they will release it with a much better frame next year.

Always a question of forehand or backhand, volley or groundie, quick and ease of swing vs power needing earlier prep.
There is no ONE answer, as we all have to face our own demons all by ourselves. Play with the racket that gives you the balance of plus's over minus's for your current game. You can change racket's later. |

There's a huge difference between the blade tour and steam 99s. If you take the hype out, then you probably wouldn't want the racquet. Are you going for a fun stick or a stick thats going to win matches?

Have you tried blade 98? Sounds exactly what you need
