Default Ao 2013 Quarters - A. Murray [3] Vs J. Chardy

Chardy in a somewhat of monstrous form.

Murray winning by a mile in H2H but Chardy won their most recent encounter.

I'm thinking Andy in 4.

Chardy beat Murray last time in Cincy but it will be a tough match Murray is hard to beat in Australia, he managed to beat Isner in 2010 admittedly John did not have a greta servign day that day after the 1st set but it still shows how tough this is gonig to be for Chardy!

Watch out Murray your draw is getting tougher. This time youre playing CHARDY so its gonna be tough.

Onto the semi-finals already.

I'd be surprised if Chardy somehow forces a 5th set, let alone winning.

That was a tough match for Murray on a hot day and facing on form Isner which I think took a lot out of him and spoilt his chances for the tournament.
Now let's move on. Isner's gone. You have to forget about him.
There will be other tournaments.

Managed to beat Isner? Sorry, but Murray is a class above Isner.

Murray in 3.

the last option of your poll is wonderful, i would love to see it happen !

really glad to see jeremy doing well... at last.
i was afraid he definitely lost confidence in his great game since the slump following his promising 2008-2009 tennis.

Murray in 4, Chardy will take the first set with a blaze of good serves and forehands. Then Murray will take over from there. Don't think Chardy has it in him to take 2 sets from Murray, he injured himself during his last doubles match and has gone 5 then 4 sets prior.

right then

ive plumped for mr chardy in 5 (really i think murray will win but...), lets go with this wacko theory that COULD PERHAPS happen..

murray is undercooked with 4 easy matches so far..chardy is playing seemingly careeer best tennis..although del potro in 1st gear isnt an ideal guide..if he can play his lively and accurrate slice n dice game maybe MAYBE he can catch murray a bit cold,

the aussie mob like an underdog and being an underdog is murrays comfy mental level,,so murray being the favourite and under pressure he could lose the plot, mentally implode, and flop to a shock defeat..

a wacko theory..but you never know.

Haase, Souza, Berankis, Simon, Chardy to get to a GS SF. That almost sounds too good to be true. In fact, it might be a disadvantage for him if he suddenly has to play Federer after that.

If he faces Tsonga he'll win anyway, that's a good matchup for him.

And to think we've got a thread dedicated to Novak's supposed cake draw.

Chardy to win in 4.

Yes but things balance out. Murray's had more than his fair share of tough draws and bad scheduling over the years.

If Chardy's FH working well, match could be very interesting...
