Default AO doubles

Men's Doubles semi's are on tonight.
Bryans vs. Boleli/Fognini
Granollers/Lopez vs. Haase/Sijsling

Interesting matchups with the Italian and Spanish duo's playing from the baseline. Never thought I would see the day when top doubles teams would win from the baseline. I guess Nadal was the trendsetter in this.

My picks are the Bryans and the spanish duo. Bryans for the win!

Who are you picks? Who are you supporting?

Yeah Its a shame That even doubles lacks volleys. Anyway. As a dutchman i really hope haase and sijsling can continue their unlikely run. Bryans vs dutch team would be great final

I watched the other 'volleying' teams that lost to the italian and spanish baseline teams. Their volleys were short and not struck with any authority. And the italians and spanish duo's are not missing any ground strokes. They have even become really good on the low bouncing balls.

The Bryan's stick their volleys so they have a good chance. I will be watching the dutch duo for the first time today.

As long as Bryans don't win. Going for Lopez Gran to win the title.

The Bryan Brothers are like the Federer of doubles, a dying bread of great volleyers where all the other teams are just baseline bashers. Even doubles becomes a grindfest.

The Italian groundies are taking their toll, the twins are just sending volleys back a lot

bryans up 4-1. Just one more hold from Mike and they will be through. Bob (lefty) is an automatic hold.

Bryans are through 6-4, 4-6, 6-1
Very poor 3rd set from the Italians. Fognini walks around like he does not give a damn.

that's because Fogini doesn't give a damn!

They played quite well at the net, the italians. Surprising considering their baseline games.

I hope Granollers & co. lose, because a grown man should not grunt that way on every groundstroke. Don't copy the bad parts of the WTA please.
