Default Static cling!

I give up! I've tried changing detergent and fabric softener. I've used multiple dryer sheets in the dryer. No matter what I do, my shirts and shorts cling to me horribly out on the court. Is this just from the dry air here in Ohio? The pros never seem to have this problem. What do you guys do to get rid of it?

I typically don't use the dryer on my athletic wear, unless it's 100% cotton. never had an issue with static cling.

Usually dry air makes statics. Not much you can do about it. If you don't use a dryer, it might help but does not really matter in my opinion.
When I choose fabrics for my tennis apparel lines, sometimes I really like certain fabrics but some fabrics have more static so either I need to choose more thicker fabric of same material or completly change fabrics.

How thin is the shorts? Static problem will be gone around spring.

Sounds odd, but put a crushed up ball of aluminum foil in the dryer with your clothes and dryer sheets. It works for me.

It does sounds odd. And you aren't meant to put dryer sheets with synthetic sports wear.

I think this is why I still like cotton. I don't like the feeling of synthetics clinging to my fat.

Wow I would never think of putting foil in the dryer. Fire hazard?

The problem is in your clothes but not your clothing. It is your skin. Have a partner remove your clothing and rub you down in Palmers cocoa butter. We have a team rubdown before every match.

Btw, keep a can of hair spray in your bag. Spray your body wherever your clothes cling.
