does anyone here use a windows phone? I was wondering how much data would you use in a month compared to using something like an iphone or s3? I'm interested in switching but I'm worried about the data usage, for example those live tiles. Any help would be appreciated

I use one and have never run out of "Data Time" with the phone.
I believe when is phone is "asleep" no data time is being used. |

Not sure how the data works, but I can tell you that the Microsoft store is extremely generous. The employees are a lot more helpful and friendly, unlike the stuck-up apple employees. My mom had the HTC radar for about six months, and there were lots of problems with it- so when the Lumia 920 and Windows 8X came out they gave her a free one(she chose 8X). It just about last week here calender would not work so they just gave her another phone.
Unfortunately its only the stores that are good: tech support is awful...

The data usage shouldn't have too much of a difference compared to Android. You would still have email to auto sync, facebook, stuff like that. In Windows, its just about the same thing. Besides, if you would like to save your data usage, leave it off until theres a point where you NEED to use it. On Android, theres a data manager from the app store which does help me control how much i use. Sync all your data using apps at once to save data then shut off your data. Whats your data cap? If its >500, then you shouldnt have a problem with windows. If you REALLY need an app to keep track of your data, i can either go find one for you or make one for you. Try posting this on XDA-Developers forum.
