Default High Altitude Balls in Cold Weather

I play in 5k elevation. By default everyone uses High Altitude Balls to control the bounce. However during the winter time, when we are playing and it's 30 degrees out, we'll use regulation balls because the cold weather does take the bounce out of the balls -- and quickly.

My questions is at what temperature, in high elevation climates, should one use High Elevation balls Vs. Low Elevation balls. 40 degrees, 45, 50? It has become a point of contention in the past because different styles of play like a different style of ball that suits one's game. If there was a general rule of thumb, it would take out the pre-game debate on whether it's "cold enough" to be using regulation balls. Thanks!

I don't think there is any regulation with regard to this. I live at 7,000 feet. I try to use low altitude usually around 40ish degrees and below. If they start bouncing badly, then switch to high when they start bouncing better. It's more or less a feel thing - depends on the sun, etc. Sun is very powerful at 7,000 feet!

I also play at high-altitude and use different pressure balls when it gets cold. Usually 45 degrees F is the dividing line. If that's the high predicted for the day, it's too cold to use high-altitude balls.
