Why does Murray's backhand look different?

What is it that he does/doesn't do that results in him having such a different looking backhand than most other guys? Him and djokovic have such great backhands, yet they produce them in different ways. So what's the difference?

murra has an eastern grip on his left hand, witha straight arm, and hits the ball farther away from his body, very flat, and a bit late. Djokovic has a somewhat bent left arm, and semi western grip, and hits the ball more out in front and a bit early with more spin.

Is that what you meant?

Not exactly. Im mostly talking about his follow through. It seems very short compared to most backhands, like he isn't extending his arms all the way or something.

Very good answer to an ok question, but all he wanted to know was the difference in sweatband on their dominant arm!

How does Gilles Simon's backhand differ from these two, Phrygian? Just curious. It can't really produce winners, but it's a solid stroke.

From what I can tell, Simon is somewhere inbetween the two. Sort of a goldilocks backhand, with a straight arm and a good rhythm. His takeback is pretty low, and his grip is somewhere around a eastern or semiwestern, but I am not sure.

Murray also closes his racket face earlier than most players.
