Tying off main, broke string with just one knot. Luxilon 125.
Any guesses as to the probability that it will hold? Last edited by Chas Tennis : 03-01-2013 at 07:44 AM. |

I used to tie my poly off with a single knot ... I bet it will hold

It will hold. For peace of mind, dab a little nail polish on it. Or if using super glue, don't put any on the grommet or you will rue this when restringing.

If it is your racket try it and see. Depending on where it broke you make be ok. If it is a customer's racket (and you want repeat business) I would replace it.

I pulled on the string with pliers using the frame to pry. It nicked the string too close to the 1st knot. It broke making the second knot. |
