Default Anyone have any pros' racquets?

Who's got a racquet that a pro actually played with, maybe even smashed to bits?

I have the super RD Tour that Rios threw out into the crowd when he won the 1998 Lipton.

Then I woke up.

Now I KNOW that's a lie! I'm sure he wouldn't do anything that nice!

Besides, I'm pretty sure he played with the RD Power 10 when he won the Lipton! HA

I've got a Wilson Hyper ProStaff 6.1 that Andy Chirita used to play with...

Oh, you don't know who he is? Well, that's because he's still young
and really hasn't turned Pro yet. But perhaps in a couple of years
I could come back to this discussion...

Alan--
watch the video of the 1998 Lipton final, he chucks his racquet way up into the stands after he wins/becomes #1.

If you dont have the tape, Ill send it to you, I have Rios/Henman as well from the SF, which is amazing. Rios starts s&v at the end of the match, looking way more natural at it than Henman or most s&v players. I think it was to make Henman feel more like crap, it wasnt enough to just beat him 6-0 final set, LOL.

I get that frame confused, Power 10 or Super RD Tour but then Im always confused by Yonex frames. they sound like the names of Strar Wars droids. Yonex R2D2 Ti IG-88 Super Power Long.

HAHA, that is too funny about the Yonex frames. I'm e-mailing you right now about Rios tapes.

Here's an E-BAY store that sells paintjob pro frames. Michael Chang's Rackets are for sale.

(Just take out the dashes in e bay)

I've got 4 of Cedric Pioline's Prince Magnesium 90 racquets. I got them about 6 years ago. I loved that frame so much, and couldn't find any anywhere. I tried Pat Cash first - called the president of Tennis Australia, who called Cash in Tahiti or somewhere, then called me back and told me that Cash had none left, but suggested the Prestige Classic 600. Then I called Pioline's agent, and she asked Pioline, who said that he'd give me 4 for free. I paid the shipping. They were pretty used when I got them - one even had a hairline crack. Had red clay wedged in the grommet strips and everything. I got about a year's use out of them before 'retiring' them for good.

I also have Thomas Blake's 300G (James' brother). He broke it by tapping it lightly on a tree after a doubles loss in a Futures tournament. I think I still have it. Maybe not. I did salvage the grip and grommet strip, though.

I have one of Martin Damm's (player from the Czech Republic) racquets that's painted like the fishnet version of the Volkl C10 Pro.

My son was asked to be a ball boy for last year's U.S. open and he declined. I hope he does it this year. He's 13 and he needs to be inspired.

i think i have one.. i got it from a guy that customizes racquets for a lot of pros... pretty much everything was the same except the handle was slightly shaved where the index finger would be (for better snap on serve?)
