Default Roddick bashers unite!!!

I know there are a lot more Roddick haters than seen on these boards after his loss in the first round. C'mon people, take your shots, you always do.

I have always been one of Roddick's biggest fans.

I know, he knows, and you all know clay is his worst surface. As a fan would i have liked to him to make the Quaters of Roland Garros? The answer is yes, am I dissapointed, no.

Just because he lost on clay, doesnt mean anything. Pistol Pete never won on the red dirt, did you see anyone bash him?

This anti-Roddick bias is getting old, know what he can do, what he can't do....if you dont like his attitude don't watch him play.

Sorry, not a bashin' or anti-bashin' here . . .

Just wanted to observe that, despite Roddick's loss, I actually thought he was playing some pretty good clay court tennis during stretches this year. He's always had the ability to hit deep and with topspin (though sometimes too much on faster surfaces), but his backhand looked remarkbly better this year. He actually had many BH's DTL, which (I think) is a new/more reliable shot in his arsenal (and necessary for clay court play IMO). And I really like that he's experimenting with those really wide angle kicker serves--keeps it interesting.

He just flattened his shots out way too early and gave up too much court too often. If he can learn patience, I think he'll actually become more of a factor on clay the next few years.

i dun't really think anyone should be bashing him. can anyone on the board beat him? no. So can you judge him? no. You can judge his attitude but that's it, you can't judge how he plays tennis.

Pete Fischer , who molded Sampras's game and revitalized Vince Spadea's career, is a 2.5 player. Asinine assertion that one has to play the game well to understand it.
Bill Walsh never played football.
