Andre won in 3 sets, Ramon Delgado played an excellent first set winning 6/4,on the second he had two match points, but Andre save it and won the tie break. And on the third it was all Agassi and he won 6/0, i just came back from Delray beach, and hopefully will [post some pictures of the match tomorrow

Good for Andre to pull it out!

...but I can't help but think that he shouldn't even be letting guys like Delgado into the match, much less letting them get to matchpoint...

He hasn't played healthy since September so I expected him to be rusty. This was a good test to get his confidence back up. Malisse and Haas will be bigger tests.

I would like to see Agassi win the Delray beach tournament. The tennis channel will be showing the doubles semifinals, singles semifinals #1 and singles semifinals #2 matches live this saturday.

That's great to hear... nothing like a close match where you had to fight off match points to win it for your confidence.

Poor Delgado though, one point away from telling his kids he beat the legend.

the funny thing is that Delgado was winning6/5 on the second set and he missed an easy volley, Andre look at Justin Gimelstob who was on the corner and smiling he said "dont give me a window" from that point it was all ANDRE and Delgado went down

Apparently Agassi saved both match points with volleys. Who says he can't volley? He's got great touch.

He came to the net at that point because Delgado was out doing him from the baseline up to then.

Brilliant strategy adjustment by Agassi.

...absoLUTELY !! I saw him warming up earlier in the day.....his forehands looked kind of 'generic' to me....and he was 'taping' quite a few....BUT....his volleying in practice was NOTICABLE....and pleasantly surprising....I wonder if he had alREADY been considering having to use that strategy....?!?!?!!
