has a fair bit of work ahead... Not nearly enough power, needs to think more on his feet rather than depend on pre match prep... needs to put matches away and improve fitness cause he tends to struggle over 5 sets. But on the positive has a nice fluid game when the mood strikes but a bit 2 hit and miss at the moment but plenty of time to work the kinks of his game out....

I don't think he will be anything special either. Totally over hyped by the media and he has believed his own press.

His attitude of late has been awful, in matches he looks like he doesn't care all that much. He appears to have misplaced confidence imo.

His game is decent but I don't really see how it can evolve but you never know.

If he wins a Slam I will be surprised. He says clay is his favourite surface but he would get destroyed by any clay court specialist ranked 80 and above.

As you can probably tell i'm not a big fan but I don't mind being proved wrong .... sometimes

Will Andy Murray shouldn't have fired his coach. He should have kept him for alittle while longer and then thought of maybe firing him

If you look at the way he's playing, I think he does have potential. He's got very smooth, fluid strokes, and he is a very competent counter puncher. If he gets a little bit stronger, a little bit smarter, and a little more experienced, he can do well. He played well in Bangkok against Federer, and you could see that he had a feel for the game.

Watched the Murray/Monfils match and their relative inexperience showed. They're both talented kids who can't hide their lack of mental toughness. Both seem to have futures but how big really depends on their future work ethic and ability to avoid injury.

I think he has potential. He has the basic things that very good players have -- he returns very well, moves very well, and has a lot of different strokes/shots. He's learning how to put them together at this level. I agree with the critics who say he has to be more aggressive, but I can also see why he has to feel his way toward that goal. It isn't easy at his age to look around, see almost nobody playing a net/midcourt game with much frequency, and then decide that is the way to go. He has a huge forehand and should use it more. He needs to work on his first serve. As Nadal has shown, these are things that you can really get better at.

Played him 2 years ago in juniors in Spain. He beat me 6-4,7-6.He went on to win the tourny.I think he's matured quite a bit since. He has top 20 potential.

I don't see his weapons. He plays smart, but he needs some weapons to get to the top. His FH is shaky, his serve goes off oftentimes.

His attitude at the moment is far outstripping his playing ability and potential.
He really has to knuckle down, get a new coach, hit the weights and concentrate.

One big win every other month doesn't mean sh!t...

He doesn't have any definitive weapons. Solid strokes all around, but without weapon/s he won't make it big. Probably consistent top 20, depending on his mental game.
