Ya, after seeing one highlight clip im going to put him up there with borg.
Yeah, that Sampras was a mediocre athlete. Vertical leap in any other sport is a major factor in determining who the best/fastest athletes are. Tennis players have different criteria, I guess.

Tennis Week: One player once told me next to Michael Chang, Pete was the fastest guy on the tour at one point. He was a tremendous leaper as well, that guy could dunk a basketball.

Pat Etcheberry: Yeah, he was much, much faster than you think he was. I know this for a fact because when (Michigan cornerback) Charles Woodson won the Heisman Trophy (in 1997) coming out of Michigan, he came in and worked with me to get him ready for the (NFL) combine. At the same time, I was working with Pete at the time. A couple of times, I made them run and do some agility drills together and Pete stood right next to Woodson and did what Woodson could do.

That is JAMES BLAKE's Quote. NOT Roger Federer's. You sir, are an idiot.

Lots of people have said that before. Neither James Blake nor Federer were the first.

Give me a few mins, ill post some of serena showing she was fit, fast and had intelligent shot selection.

How about that one time agassi hit a great volley? He is one of the greatest volleyr's in the history of the game.
Up where with Borg?

Most consider Pete one of the TWO best players of all time, Laver being the other. So while I like and respect Borg's game, your sarcasm is a little off base using a player below Pete, not above.

In contrast he disliked not having a target and being forced to play extended points from the baseline:

Extremely talented big serving, pure ball striker, like Kafelnikov or Korda with a shorter attention span and a questionable will when forced to grind. One of those "not quite" good enough to have won a slam but made the R16 and QF's a ton which probably boiled down to those missing elements.
Thanks a lot!!!
