Question about CAP Grommets

Are the i.Prestige MP std. grommets the same as the CAP Grommets for the Prestige? I plan on ordering a couple sets to use on my PT 280. I would like to make sure they are the same before I order them.

The grommets differ at the throat in that the i.Prestige grommets go from CAP to regular for the tie-off holes. I know the grommets from the i.Prestige Mid will work on the Prestige Mid, but have not tried them on the Midplus sized Prestige variants.

Ok, thanks, but I'm just a little confused. So if I pick the grommets to order that list i.Prestige MP Std grommets, they would be the cap grommets right?

Yes the grommets will be a CAP system - just at the throat tie-off the CAP ends to allow easier access to the grommet holes for stringing.

Don't order CAP grommets from a Midplus racquet (98 sq. in. or 630cm²) to install them on a Prestige mid (93 sq. in. or 600cm²).

He's not asking about 600. I think he has a Pro Tour 280 (630?) and wants CAP System grommets. The LM Prestige 630 has full CAP System grommets with TK 57 stamped on them, which is the same part number as on Pro Tour 630 grommets. When I bought my Prestige Classic grommets, there was a sticker on the bag that listed the new and old rackets that could benefit from those grommets.

So there is a difference between the LM and i.Prestige CAP grommets. If so, does TW carry both versions of the CAP grommets. And yes, I intend on using CAP grommets on my PT 280 to protect the frame and up the weight.

I checked the stock numbers for different midplus CAP systems and didn't find any that matched the stock number for the PT 280. A couple of our MRTs said the i.Prestige MP grommets would probably work but were not 100% sure.
If I had a PT 280 around, i try it and tell you for sure.
