Default after you hit, where are you looking?

ok so I was watching federer hit in slow motion and I found out

something interesting (well you guys probably knew this )

when federer hits the ball he doesn't take move his head to see where the

ball went but keeps staring at where the point of contact was.

Does this help you in anyways?

I have tried to keep my head down like Federer as well on the forehand and backhand but it does for me at least seem awkward on the forehand. Doing it on the backhand helps but I tend to hit the ball out or in the net if I do it on the forehand.

I'm looking at the contact point the whole time.

Usually at the beautiful shot I hit. Or, in reality, I try to look at my contact point. Sometimes I my head strays and thats when my shots aren't as good.

watch contact point, i try to read the print on the ball before to keep eye contact. i like to think to keep my eyes and head there until i am able to spit after my arm has passed my head point. (i dont really spit just a reference)

The right thing to watch is the contact point and not the ball.
