Default Looking for a USTA Tourney..

I have a whole list of USTA tournaments near me but I don't know anything about them except for the location, date, and price. Are they open to everyone, or only a certain skill level? If so, shouldn't they say "this is a 4.0 tournament" or something?

I'm a weak 4.0, and I just don't want to pay for and enter a tournament (not to mention driving a couple of hours) only to get slaughtered by 6.0s.

The tournament will give a list of the "Divisions" eligible to apply. For a junior it will usually indicate "BG8-18" which means boys and girls ages 8-18. Remember, juniors don't have ratings, they have rankings.

Sounds like this is your first tourney so you may want to choose a challenger tournament. Good luck.
