Sharapova and the word Ambassador don't mix very well.
Of course, what she is doing is basically charity, but the title doesn't suit her.

Taken an exceptionally high-profile individual on board to help promote their cause.
I don't enjoy watching Shriekapova, haven't enjoyed listening to her in interviews, I don't even find her that 'fascinating' an individual. At least now I can say "geez I hate listening to the grunts, but at least she's helping the UN". Cynics will say that it's good for her profile too (undoubtedly and without question it is). I'll say that she could have either done this or NOT done this, and I respect almost anyone who is willing to put any time into worthwhile causes for no direct financial return. She'll do a great 'job' in that 'position', very high profile, she'll get the message and the pictures out there, raise awareness, and hell, she's even donating a few $ herself too.
