i am about to start playing tourneys really soon. I havent seen any live ones but will be playing in either L3 or L4s is there anyone that can tell me what i should excpect. with serves,strokes ect. Oh yeah i dont excpect to win my first tournemt i enter but will give it my all.

well...... level 3 and 4 are reaaalllly tough, those are national tournaments and even in the 14's (what i play) you should expect at least 4.5 NTRP quality tennis. IN the 18's probably upwards 5.5-6.0

yep, im a solid 3.5, almost 4.0 and play L7's and sometimes L6's. I played a L5 and got blown out 6-0, 6-1. In the 14's

however, this is New England, where do u live?, the standards are different depending on the places. For instance in Socal, there is a much higher standard of tennis than here in NE.

In the M!dwest, where I live, B16s players are 4.5 to 5.5 at best. B18s are 5.0 to 6.5. VERY high standards.

yea start off with something like a L7, this will probably be too easy for you. However, that would start you off with a tourny win, a boost of confidence. Then move down to L6's if you are regularly winning those, L5 ect. ect.

ok well im trying to play in tourneys around my area first. im about a 3.5-4.0.
on the usta website there are no lvl 7 tourneys so im going to go with from l5 to about l3 and hope i do those well.

In florida 16's, everyone has great technique, even in the rookie level. Good luck and even if you do lose remember that you got the chance to play.
