That's why Federer impresses me so much. Everyone says he was a natural but really he wasn't. He was not good when he started out and had to train and practice. People are wrong when they say he picked up the sport with ease, he worked harder then alot of people and still does. That's why he is the best, not because he was born with it.

Uh... let's not forget that, work ethic and mental improvements aside, yes, Federer was still born with 'it'... I think you'd be fairly hard-pressed to find someone who didn't think Federer started with ridiculous amounts of talent...

yes indeed, his style and strokes were more classic, long, nowadays he hits with way more topspin...

Gotta wonder if Federer was imitating/influenced by Sampras or if that was just his style? I also think maybe the similarity in his style to Sampras might have "spooked" Agassi in this match? Interesting to watch.
