Although I haven't resided in a Mid-Atlantic state for 15 years or so, I WAS born in one, so, can I come...if I'm around? I'll bring a case of Kirin

Oh c'mon, Norfolk, VA counts as mid-atlantic, even if you're deep underground in a bunker.

Thumbs up

Just want to let you guys know that i met up with MrHan last night for a hit. we only hit around for like an hour but it was great fun, by far one of the better hitting sessions i had in a very long time. if you are wondering, MrHan is super good. thats an understatement by the way. i dare say he can beat 50% of all of us easily. anyways, when you come to the chapter meet you can see for yourself so sign up today! limited spots left!

Never been there, but maybe I'll stop into your hair style and aesthetic salon one day to see how you're coming along-not that there's anything wrong with being a hairdresser...

The number is on its way-though I can't guarantee that you won't be arrested for using it. PA is "home", and Asia is where I'm at now.

What's the number in terms of sign ups so far? Also, in case we need to find tennis courts. Here are some 200 listed. If all fails, I am also a member of the Reston Association and can get guest passes. We have 26 lighted tennis courts for Reston.

Just checking on you guys in the mid atlantic. Hope everything is going well.

Phil, you need to get your *** down there and then take a detour down south and have a hit with us in South Florida.

How many do we have so far? I see that Schmad has responded with interest. Do we have enough for doubles?

I've been reading these message boards for a long time, so by now I’ve learned that Breakpoint knows everything about Wilson 6.0, and NoBadMojo prefers Volkl. Since both give great advice, I now play with both a 6.0 95 and a C10 Pro 98 (the latter in part due to Skraggle’s influence).

But the reason I joined today is due to Zapvor’s great initiative in creating the Mid-Atlantic chapter. Since the Miami chapter found such lush surroundings to play and photograph, maybe we could live up to the photographic challenge by meeting at the Haines Point courts, right on the water, surrounded by a golf course – and the Washington monuments. They’re also centrally located for Mid-Atlantic members from Virginia and Maryland.

Zapvor -- I'll be sending you an email shortly to join your list.

Count me in.

I live in Herndon. I am also a member of the Reston Tennis Association.

I've hit with ShcMad before.

I wonder if I've played MrHan before? Hmmm.... MrHan, you wouldn't happen to be a lefty?

This is crazy, I've also hit with Chris and Joe D.

BTW- This is James Ruffin

Hey zapvor, I got your e-mail today. I apologize, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to play this coming Monday. My family's moving to Fairfax city within a week, so we're pretty busy packing, etc. Other than that, I'm happy to see members signing up for the meeting. I have TennisGuy's AIM screen name but he has not signed on since last month. Besides him, I know two other members on this board that live around here, so I'll try to contact them and ask them if they're interested.

EDIT: I see that JRstriker found out about this thread just now! Ok, so i have one more guy who might be interested in joining us, but he's away for college until next week.
