Default Massu vs Safin (Hamburg 2007)

Safin is winning the first set 3-0 (2 breaks). Guys, this is the Safin we all like to watch (at least, for the moment). Check this out, if you can!

Edit: 4-0 now.

As soon as you posted the topic he's lost it. He is up 4-1 and serving at 15-40.

He was broken and the score is 4-2.

I think Safin only plays well if he has something to prove.

Like he'll play well against Federer, Sampras, possibly Laver, McEnroe,Borg,Wilander,Connors,Agassi...you know, the LEGENDS. It's always nice to beat a legend and Marat enjoys that.

With lower level competition, he's probably not motivated.

He better be motivated pretty soon because he will fade pretty fast if he doesn't.

I hope so but I wouldn't bet on it personally. If he does well overall in this tournament then I might actually believe that.

More tough ones ahead for Safin. Ferrero next then Federer, as long as the latter doesn't lose to Hrbaty or Monaco.

I wanted Massu to win, but am really happy for Safin. I feel sad for him when he loses, knowing what he's capable of.
