Default Snoop Dogg "Ivan Lendl was the truth"

American magazine Sport Illustrated has unearthed the world's most unlikely tennis fan.

During an interview, rapper Snoop Dogg was asked which sport people would be surprised to know he liked.

He replied: "Tennis. I used to like Ivan Lendl. He was sharp. An old schooler. Make it happen and roll out. Now I like Venus and Serena, but Ivan was the truth."

Perhaps the All England Club might now be persuaded to invite the rapper-turned-actor over to Wimbledon in June.

Then we can all revel in the sight of Snoop and Cliff Richard exchanging pleasantries over a cup of tea in the Royal Box - and maybe even entertaining the Centre Court crowd with a duet.

"Make it happen and roll out."

I like this... because it doesn't make any sense.

Ask Andre, the Truth rolled him in an exhibition in straight sets. No one told him to split sets. Wouldn't inviting Snoop to a grasscourt tourney be a tad dangerous? Who's next, Billy Bong Thornton or Wesley Pipes?

Yeah, this thread topic pops up once in a while. Not as much as these though:

did michael chang win a match serving underhand?

did roddick really serve a ball that got stuck into a claycourt? -from the powerade commercial

check out this video of xavier malise freaking out!

did a male player ranked 500 beat the williams sisters while drinking & smoking, with one arm tied behind his back?

Biggie Smalls liked Nalbandian.
Dr. Dre likes Andre Agassi so much they share a nickname.
The guys from Bon Jovi like Jan Michael Gambill (it's not funny, they met while getting their hair done).
Fountains of Wayne like Wayne Ferreira and Wayne Arthurs. And not for the obvious reasons.
Puff Daddy likes "Boris Becker 'cause he big. He bigger than life."
Queen Latifah likes Serena, cause they can share clothing.
Ace of Base liked Enqvist a lot.
Beavis and Butthead like Andy Roddick and Andy Murray respectively.

It reminds me of a passage from the Tao Teh Ching: "Do your work, then let it go." Mr. Dogg is a sage.

Might have changed by now, but last I heard Snoop had been denied a visa into Britain because of his criminal record so that he couldn't perform concerts as scheduled on his Europe tour. So tea and crumpets with Keith might be out until he gets approved.

Cliff Richard not Keith Richards. Keith isn't the type of guy to drink tea.
